When I was in elementary school, we moved houses and the new house flooded with all our possessions still boxed up. I don’t recall the full situation, but we were gone for a bit, and when we came back to officially settle in, we had to toss a lot of what got damaged. Majority of my clothes were gone. We moved in with my Grandma and she let me borrow some of her sweatshirts and sweatpants. I felt shy in a new school…and in my grandma’s clothes hehe! My parents worked hard and did a fabulous job providing for my brothers and I, but this was a particularly hard season and money doesn’t grow on trees lol!

I remember feeling so excited for my mom to take me to Walmart to pick out a new outfit. I had to choose one and narrowed it down to a sunflower printed set of top and shorts. Fast forward to now!
